The issue I am having with an Xbox account linked to an EA account with no references, much like what happens in a memory leak. If there is a way to give this next information to somebody who works with coding the EA account system, I would like for them to note it as an issue: When an account is deleted, the default behavior should be to remove any links that rely on the account before deletion, much like a basic linked list datatype, which requires you to free any references to its members before destructing it, for fear of causing a memory leak. That is what I am looking for.īecause of this issue, I have noticed a flaw in the coding logic that associates accounts. I have already also contacted Xbox's support notifying them that my account was linked by someone else and the account has been deleted, and Xbox support notified me that EA has all control of linked Xbox and EA accounts, so I would have to have EA remove the link from my Xbox account. If you acknowledge that someone else may have linked and deleted an account to my Xbox account, there should be a way for me to prove ownership of my Xbox account to unlink the random account. Neither of these people, the one who linked my account nor the person who deleted said linked account, is me. You said in your own response that me or someone else has linked my Xbox gamertag to an EA account, and the EA account was deleted upon the EA account owner's request. I obviously have no way to access said EA account because it was not mine that was linked, and I need support to remove the link that is between my Xbox account and a random deleted EA account for which I cannot claim ownership. Only yesterday did I, the owner of the Xbox account, attempt to use my Xbox Game Pass subscription to download an EA game, where I was then told my account was bound to a deleted account. I did not link this account, so I do not own that EA account. I can prove ownership of the Xbox account which is linked to some random deleted EA account. I am not claiming and cannot claim that I own or have ever owned the deleted EA account because I have never linked any EA account to my Xbox account. They told me to post on the forums explaining my issue. I am aware that nothing can be done via the forums, and I have used the live support twice with no results. It seems you did not really read through my whole issue.
